AN ACT TO CREATE A NEW CODE SECTION 29-5-153, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE ALL STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL OFFICE BUILDINGS TO FLY THE UNITED STATES AND MISSISSIPPI FLAGS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 29-5-153, Mississippi Code of 1972:
29-5-153. The flag of the State of Mississippi and the flag of the United States shall be displayed on the grounds of all county and municipal buildings and all properties set forth in Section 29-5-2 and all other state office buildings at all times during the hours of daylight when the weather will permit without damage to the flags.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
